Students from Barbour County High School, Eufaula High School and Lakeside who are participating in Youth Leadership Barbour had the opportunity to tour Shorter Mansion and Fendall Hall, two historic homes in Eufaula listed on the National Register of Historic Places, when they met last month.. Doug Purcell, former executive director of the Historic Chattahoochee Commission, shared some interesting history on Barbour County. Students also enjoyed a delicious lunch provided by Daniel Pulley. As part of their community service, the students then made 165 Christmas cards for the residents of Crowne Health in Eufaula.
