GETTING A FACE LIFT - Earl McClendon, Terry Williams, Marcus Screws, and Tommie Hill, with Randy’s Painting, are busy painting one of the meeting rooms at the Clayton Senior Center. Several projects to upgrade the center will be undertaken in preparation for its reopening on May 15 to include new electrical panels, restroom ventilations, deep cleaning and refurbishing of cabinets. Commissioners approved the improvements to cost less than $20,000 during last week’s meeting. Commissioner Rachel Smith spearheaded the renovation project and obtained estimates for the work that was presented to commissioners.The center has been closed since October 1, 2022.
