Wendy Ketura Witherington, a resident of Clayton, Alabama, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Medical Center Barbour. She was 55 years old.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, July, 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Clayton Cemetery in Clayton, Alabama with Dr. Larry Teasley officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers the family asks contributions be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research-Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777 New York, NY 10163.

Wendy was born August 26, 1968 in Atlanta, Georgia to William Allen Witherington, Jr. and Billie Sue Fryer Witherington. She worked for many years at her father’s landscaping business. She had a passion for animals, especially horses. Wendy also loved music and was a great pianist.

She is preceded in death by her father, William Allen Witherington, Jr. grandparents Tura Green Fryer Davis and William Olan (W.O.) Fryer a native of Clayton, AL.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving mother, Billie Sue Parish (Ed) of Clayton, Alabama; brother, William Allen Witherington, III (Robin) of Newnan, Georgia; step-brother, Ed Parish Jr. (Julie) of Montgomery, Alabama; stepsister, Laney Parish Gulledge (Paul) of Clayton, Alabama; nephews, Will Witherington and Paul Gulledge; nieces, Alli Witherington, Brooke Witherington, Lauren Parish, Morgan Parish, and Angela Taylor; uncles, Lynn Fryer (Maria Moreles) of Bocas del Toro, Panama and Jeff Fryer (Kim) of Phenix City, Alabama; aunts, Karen McLendon of Phenix City, Alabama and Betty Jernigan of Atlanta, Ga.as well as several cousins.
