Mrs. Thelma Lane, 92, of Eufaula, Alabama, Springhill Community, died Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at her residence.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Shady Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Jim Gilboy officiated and burial followed in the church cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home directing.

Born April 6, 1930, Mrs. Lane was the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Virginia Hall Canington.

Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Cherry Lane Sr., her son, Tyrus Tyron Lane, her grandson, Jason Lane and her great granddaughter, Mary Frances Bell.

Survivors include her son, Allen “Bru” (Janie) Lane Jr.; her daughter, Cheryl Lane (Jimmy) Bell, five grandchildren: Wesley (Kimberly) Lane, Stacey Lane, Pamela (William) Campbell, Roger Bell, Kevin (Stacey) Bell; 10 great grandchildren, Dylan Mauldin, David (Christina) Mauldin, Dylan Campbell, Austin Campbell, Chloe Bell, Christopher Honderson, Katelynn Bell, Madalynn Bell, Kaleb Bell, Mason Bell; one great great granddaughter,: Jocelyn Grace Mauldin.

Active pallbearers were Earl King, Cliff Streetman, Robby Lane, Hal Shadrick, Ben Shadrick, Rod Lane, Jimbo Hamner and Rusty Hamner.
