Selene Beaty Baxley, a resident of Louisville, Alabama, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024 at her residence. She was 90 years old.

Graveside services were held Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Clayton, Alabama with Chaplain Kevin Brannon officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. A visitation was held prior to the service at Glover Funeral Home in Clayton, Alabama from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Flowers were accepted.

Selene was born January 8, 1934 in Louisville, Alabama to the late Henry Huey and Elma Marie Hagler Beaty. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, R.C. Baxley Jr.; brother, Joe Beaty; two sisters, Marie Gould and Donita “Nita” Walker.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Ted D. Baxley (Susan) of Louisville; two sisters, Bobby Parmer of Enterprise and Betty Hartzog (Douglas) of Clayton; two grandchildren, Sheryl Swindell (Tyler) of Gurley, Alabama and Shannon Baxley of Pensacola, Florida; two great-grandchildren, Trevor Swindell and Sawyer Swindell.

Asked to serve as pallbearers were Adam Reeves, Russell Danner, Spencer Davis, and Jonathan Bryers.
