RACE TO THE TOP -The combined travel basketball team made up of Eufaula High School and Barbour County High School basketball travel team, the Stylez Elite, players showcased their strength and resilience as they raced to the top when they played in Birmingham/Hoover on May 18 and 19. They were undefeated until the final round, 55-61. Players Quandrrian Brooks, Josh Daniels, Rurtyiaus Ross, Semaj Daughtry, Jamil Davis, Lennox Myers and Dyqwayshon Grubbs were runners up in the travel ball championship round. They were led by Coaches Dexter Dastylist and Makaveli Thymes. Coach Dexter said, “These players proved that unity and preserverance can lead to great success. Being short seven players, they grew from zero wins to this achievement. This is a remarkable example of their potential.” Because they made it the final round of the division, they will now join free of charge the tournament that will be held in Winter Haven, FL on July 11, 12 and 13. The team is needing sponsors.
