Carl Anthony “Tony” Hurst, 67, of Eufaula, Alabama died Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at his residence. Funeral services were held Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 2 P.M. at Southpoint Church. The Rev. Chris Toole officiated and burial followed in the Adams Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home directing. Born May 14, 1954 in Barbour County, Alabama, Tony was the son of the late Lawrence Reid and Cora Velela Trammell Hurst. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Martha Hartzog Hurst of Eufaula, Alabama; his daughters, Michelle (Brett) Garrett of Montgomery, Alabama and Brooke (Christopher) Goff of Clayton, Alabama; and three grandchildren, Jack Garrett, Reid Garrett, and Ella Goff. Active pallbearers were Richard Hartzog, Tim Hartzog, Michael Hartzog, James Barker, Dwight Barker, Darren Hartzog, Alan Hartzog and Blayne Sewell.
