Days of years past in Clayton are shown in this May Day event that brought young ladies together for the traditional Maypole Dance. The folk dance is performed around a decorated pole which was the monument on Court Square in Clayton. Dancers, typically in pairs, hold ribbons attached to the top of the pole and weave patterns as they dance around it.
