Margaret Anne Ketcham Abercrombie, age 68, a resident of Clio, Alabama, passed away Monday, August 4, 2025, in her home surrounded by loved ones.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Pea River Presbyterian Church in Clio, Alabama, with Rev, Trip Etheridge officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Glover Funeral Home in Clayton.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Louisville Fire and Rescue, Baker Hill Fire and Rescue, Clayton Fire and Rescue, or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Margaret Anne was born on January 28, 1957, to B.F. and Sarah Margaret McRae Ketcham. She graduated from Clio High School and Wallace Community College. Before retiring from Thompson Gas Company, she had also been employed by Louisville Pecan Company and Southeast Wood Treatment.
Margaret Anne enjoyed many hobbies such as sewing, quilting, crocheting, baking cakes, holiday candy making, planting and tending to her daylilies and daffodils. She also had a great fondness for shopping in antique and thrift stores and sharing the treasures she found. She was a lifelong member of Pea River Presbyterian Church where she served as the pianist.
She is preceded in death by her parents, B.F. Ketcham, Sr. and Sarah Margaret McRae Ketcham and a brother, Ben Ketcham.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Michael C. Abercrombie; two nieces, Lois K. Floyd (Ronald) and Alicia K. Senkel (Bill); nephew, Benjamin Ketcham (Karen) and their extended families, as well as the many members of the Abercrombie family.
Serving as pallbearers are Ronald Floyd, Allen Floyd, Phillip Baxter, William Helms, Blake Harrison, and Gauge Horn.
