LOUIS WILLIAM GLAYRE

Louis William Glayre, a former resident of Green’s Crossroads, passed away October 1, 2021 in Panama City, FL.

Louis was born in Palmetto, FL on November 18, 1938. He came from there to Barbour County in 2000. He resided in the Green’s Crossroads Community until his deteriorating health forced him to move to Florida.

While residing in Barbour County, he was active in many organizations. He was an original firefighter of the Green’s Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department, the Clayton Lions Club and an active supporter of the Clayton Senior Center.

He helped spearhead the Christmas Stocking project for Adopt-A-Native Elder and the Blankets with a Blessing project.

Wherever there was a need, Louis was a willing volunteer. He was a member of the Street Memorial United Methodist Church.

Burial services will be held in Palmetto City Cemetery, Saturday, November 13, 2021.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, and three daughters, Janeece Pope, Leslye Mann and Susan Danko. Anyone wishing to make a memorial, please send to Adopt-NativeElder, 328 W. Gregson Ave., Salt Lake City, UT 84115.
