JASON LOUIS COPELAND

Mr. Jason Louis Copeland of Ariton passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at his residence. He was 51. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Sykes Creek Church Cemetery.

The family received friends at Keahey Funeral Home in Clio from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday. Rev. Kenneth Andrews officiated the graveside services.

Serving as pallbearers were Rob Pratt, Calvin Grace, Trey Evans, Nick Lopez, Kane Knighten, and Cesar Truillo. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Christie Campbell Copeland; daughter, Erika Copeland Lopez (Nick) of Ariton; grandchildren, Addison Lopez, Elan Lopez and Destini Erwin; sister, Melba Jo Davis (Billy) of Ariton; mother, June Knight Copeland of Ariton; father-in-law, James F. “Bunk” Campbell; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe F. Copeland; mother-in-law, Reba Baxley Campbell; grandparents, James Celmis Copeland and Charlie and Lucy Knight.

He was a 1989 graduate of Pike County High School and graduated from Sparks College in Eufaula with a degree in automotive and body repair. He was employed with Whatley Construction as a mechanic.

He loved to hunt and spend time with his family and his grandchildren who called him “pops”!

He will be greatly missed.
