ETHERINE GLOVER

Graveside services were held Wednesday, January 26, 2022 for Ms. Etherine Glover. Services were held at Old Mt. Silla Baptist Church Cemetery in Clayton at 11:00 a.m. with Elder Jerry Chambers, pastor, and Pastor David Stallion, eulogist, of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Columbus, GA.

Born February 24, 1950 in Barbour County to the late Johnnie and Melvie Glover, Ms. Glover died on January 20, 2022.

Ms. Glover attended Clayton Rosenwald Elementary School and Barbour County Training School. After graduation, she attended Chauncey Sparks Community College and received an Associate Degree in Business. She was employed at Van Heusen Company as a payroll clerk for 28 years.

After becoming employed with the State of Georgia, she moved to Columbus where she remained until her retirement in 2020. After moving to Columbus, she joined Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church where she remained a faithful servant, serving in many auxiliaries until God called her home. She was also a member of the Voices of Faith Gospel Singers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Johnnie Ed Glover, Ernest Glover and Dewey Fred Glover. She is survived by her brothers, Pastor William (Elaine) Glover and Jackson (Yolinda) Glover; her sister, Norma Jean Glover, all of Clayton; sister-in-law, Nell Glover; eight nephews, five nieces and a host of great nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends; one uncle, E.D. (Joann) Glover of Clayton; one aunt, Mary Lee White of Youngstown, OH; adopted sisters, Shirley Crouch, Ann Walker, Teresa Burt, Evelyn McFolley, Carolyn Rice and Pearlene Glover.
