EMOGENE WEST CULLIFER

Emogene West Cullifer, 88, of Baker Hill, Alabama, died Sunday, February 13, 2022, at her residence.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 12 noon at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel. Kevin Kelly and John Wuska officiated and burial followed in the Pond Bethel Church Cemetery with Chapman Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Carnegie Library or to the Boys and Girls Club.

Born October 29, 1933 in Barbour County, Alabama, Mrs. Cullifer was the daughter of the late Amos and Nell Bush West. Mrs. Cullifer was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Eufaula. She retired from the Eufaula Housing Authority after 14 years.

Survivors include her son, William Ward “Bill” Cullifer; her daughter, Gene “Rita” Campbell; two sisters, Sara Nell Wuska and Juanita Orton; four grandchildren, Susan (Matt) Filicicchia, John Steven Campbell, Brittany Cullifer, Kodie Cullifer; six great grandchildren, Tirzah Filicicchia, Elorah Filicicchia, Faythe Cullifer, Wyatt Pritt, Morgan Pritt, Johnny Campbell.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Floyd Cullifer and her sisters Nina West and Lillian Hallman.

Serving as pallbearers were Keith Horne, Brit Mashburn, Ricky McGilvary, Randy Campbell, John Wuska, Ricky Campbell, and Tim Wuska.
