Fire Departments across the county have been busy answering calls for the many grass fires and wood fires due the dry conditions. Shown is a grass fire burning along Poor House Road near Clayton. It has been close to a month since it has rained in our area. Predictions are that the area will receive rain this week which will help relieve the drought conditions.
