Curtis Eugene Teal, age 74 of Dothan, formerly of Elamville, Alabama passed away March 14, 2024, at his residence.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the Shiloh Word of Fellowship Church. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m., until time of services. Rev. Buddy Ward will officiate. Keahey Funeral Home of Clio is entrusted with the arrangements.
Left to cherish his memory, loving wife, Joy Winelle Barefield Teal of Dothan, Alabama; sons, Shane Eugene Teal (Nikki) of Skipperville, Alabama; Sean Eric Teal (Jamie) of Dothan, Alabama; brother, Dwight Teal (Ruthie) of Elamville, Alabama; sister, Alice Gay (Donnie) of Napier Field, Alabama; brothers-in-law and sisters- in-law, Faye and H.C. Gulledge of Blue Springs, Alabama; Buddy & Charlene Ward of Blue Springs, Alabama; Alece Barfield (the late Eldridge Barefield) of Ozark, Alabama; and Wayne & Shelia Barefield of Columbus, Georgia; and Wiley & Cathy Smith of Abbeville, Alabama; grandchildren, Halle, Collin, Ethan, Charlie, Sawyer, Christian, Jake, Cole and Scout. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Lanell Teal and sister and brother-in-law, Betty Joyce and Jim Ritter.
A 1968 graduate of Clio
High School, he played football for the Clio High
School Yellow Jackets from the 8th grade until he graduated. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, baseball and basketball. Curtis worked at Pemco World Air Service in Napier Field for 43 years. The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care given by his home nurses, Jescie Fontenot and Kenneth Gay.
