FIREFIGHTERS’ ASSOCIATION MEETS - Representatives from Barbour County’s 11 Volunteer Fire Departments gathered last week in Bakerhill. Sen. Billy Beasley and Rep. Berry Forte presented a representative from each department a check in the amount of $1,958.76, an appropriation made each year to the departments. They are also receiving a special appropriation in the amount of $10,320 from the American Rescue Plan Act funds.
