Two injured in head-on collision

Two drivers were injured in a head-on collision early Sunday morning on Highway 10, west of River Road, near Clio. According to Clio Police Captain Ricky Kennedy, Garenton Flowers was traveling east toward Clio and Jeff Dunegan was traveling toward Brundidge when the accident occurred about 4:18 Sunday morning.

Inclement weather rolled into Barbour County Tuesday which resulted in schools in the county either closing early or dismissing classes for the day. Thunderstorms began early Tuesday morning and a Tornado Watch was issued by the National Weather Service in Birmingham at 6:50 a.m.

Applications open for ambassadors

Alabama 4-H ambassador applications are now open for high school sophomore, junior and senior 4-H members. Joy Scott, an Alabama Cooperative Extension System 4-H leadership specialist, is excited to start the search for new ambassadors to represent Alabama 4-H over the next school year.
