Community Kick Ball
The City of Clayton Parks & Recreation partnered with Eufaula Boys and Girls Club to start a Community Kick Ball for children ages three to 16 years old. Pictured above are the children that participated on the opening day. If you would like to participate contact Gary Henderson of Clayton, Park & Recreation director. The softball field is located behind Sunoco Convenient Store on North Midway Street.
Eufaula man sentenced for mounted exotic birds
A Eufaula man accused of helping a Georgia doctor smuggle illegal taxidermy birds and eggs into the United States has been sentenced.

Five BCHS athletes qualify for state meet
The Barbour County High Jaguar Track & Field team competed at the Class 1A-4A Sectionals this past weekend in Andalusia. Five athletes qualified for the State meet to be held in Cullman this weekend and two came home with first place medals.

BCHS soccer team falls in both games losing 10-0 and 4-2
The Barbour County High Jaguar soccer team fell to the Houston Academy Raiders 10-0 at home last Tuesday and to the G.W. Long Rebels 42 on penalty kicks last Thursday at home and are now 1-11 on the season.

LAKESIDE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR
Feagin Tracy will be assuming the position as Athletic Director at The Lakeside School beginning this summer. A graduate of The Lakeside School, he has a degree from Auburn University. Feagin looks forward to contributing to the growth and success of The Lakeside School’s athletic program.


BCHS senior named to All-State Team
Barbour County High senior center Lennox Myers was recently named to the Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State Team and the Dothan Eagle Super 12 for his accomplishments during the 2024-25 basketball season.
