Longs to represent area

Craig Long, coach at G.W. Long in Skipperville, and Emma Claire Long, a member of the G.W. Long Lady Rebels volleyball team, have been chosen to represent the Wiregrass in the upcoming 26th annual AHSAA North-South All-Star Volleyball match. The match is scheduled for July 17-22 during All-Star Week in Montgomery.

Eutsey heads to state finals

BCHS freshman Anesia Eutsey had a strong performance this past weekend at the Track & Field Sectionals held at Smith Station High School finishing first place in the shot put and fourth place in the discus. She is now headed to the state finals this weekend at Cullman High School in Cullman.

G.W. LONG FFA STUDENTS PLACE IN CONTEST

FIRST PLACE WINNER - Catherine Andrews won first place recently in the senior division of the Dale County Soil and Water Conservation District Essay Contest Healthy Soil Life. Catherine is a member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) at George W. Long School in Skipperville. She is the daughter of Ken and Kim Andrews of Louisville.
