Tigers lose to Patriots in overtime 16-10

The Eufaula Tigers fought a defensive battle Friday night against the Pike Road Patriots losing the battle to their former coach, Ed Rigby in overtime by a score of 16-10. The first points of the game came in the second quarter with 9:55 left on the clock until halftime. Anthony Rodgers, quarterback for the Patricks, ran 64 yards for the touchdown. The extra point was good, putting Pike Road on top 7-0.

Tigers shut out Jags

The Luverne Tigers scored early and often running through the Barbour County High Jaguars defense en route to a 75-0 win Friday night in Clayton. The start of the game was delayed due to a stadium lights problem but was quickly resolved.

Lady Jags & JV Jags Volleyball teams lose in opening of volleyball season

BY ANDRE WRIGHT The Barbour County High Lady Jaguars Volleyball team fell to 0-3 on the season dropping games on the road to the Eufaula High Tigers 5-25, 5-25 and 1-25; the Abbeville Yellow Jackets 18-25, 18-25 and 8-25; and the Pike County Bulldogs 12-25, 15-25 and 18-25.The JV lost their only game to Pike County 8-25 and 8-25 falling to 0-1 on the season. Against Eufaula, Trinity Lockhart had the only service point and Jaden Robinson had one block.
