Lady Patriots beat the Lady Jaguars in final season game

The Barbour County High Lady Jaguar volleyball team dropped its final regular season game to the Pike Liberal Lady Patriots last Tuesday in Troy 14-25, 9-25 and 14-25 falling to 0-12 on the season. Tamia Peterson led the team with 6 service points, Jaden Robinson had 2 service points and 1 ace, Enasia Ivory and Ty-Lasha Hamilton 2 each and ZyQuoya Devose and Brakiah Russell had 1 each.

Trojans defeat EHS Tigers

The Charles Henderson Trojans of Troy marched into Eufaula Friday night with one thing on their minds - to defeat the Eufaula High School Tigers. The Trogans handed the Tigers a convincing 34-7 victory on their first road trip.

Highland Home Flying Squadron fly over Barbour County Jaguars 36-14

The Barbour County High Jaguars put up a good fight on Senior Night, but the Highland Home Flying Squadron flew over them 36-14 in a going to the final stanza. The Jaguars would score their only points in the fourth quarter when they got two touchdowns. Quarterback Jailin Merrill hit split end Larry Wilson downs, 18 rushes for 33 yards, completed 5 of 14 passes for 93 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions, 1 penalty for 5 yards, 1 fumble and lost it and 126 total yards.

Tigers defeat Eagles 44-19

Alumni and fans attended the homecoming game Thursday night in Eufaula to watch the Eufaula High School Tigers defeat the Carroll High School Eagles of Ozark. They were not disappointed. The Tigers came away victorious by a final score of 44-19. Homecoming activities were planned for Friday night but were changed to Thursday night due to the possibility of inclement weather from approaching Hurricane Ian.

Goshen defeats Jaguars

The Barbour County High Jaguars celebrated their Homecoming Friday night, but the Goshen High Eagles played the spoiler in a 64-18 win in a Class 2A, Region 3 contest before a large crowd. With the loss, the Jaguars fall to 0-7 overall and 0-4 in region play and the Eagles improve to 5-2, 2-2.

Lady Jags Volleyball team drops to Ariton Purple Cats

The Barbour County High Lady Jaguar Volleyball teams dropped both games to the Ariton Lady Purple Cats in an area contest last Tuesday on the road. The Varsity lost 5-25, 10-25 and 9-25 and are now 0-9 on the season and the Junior Varsity lost 5-25 and 8-25 and are 0-7 on the season. Tamia Peterson led the Varsity with 5 service points, 1 block and 1 dig, Aaliyah Peterson and Brakiah Russell 1 service point each, Trinity Lockhart 2 digs, Enasia Ivory and Gabby Merrill 1 dig each and Jaden Robinson had 1 block.
