The Lakeside Lady Chiefs basketball team improved to 1-0 with a 45-43 win over Westfield School (Georgia) in the Terrell Academy Tip-Off Classic. Chloe Helms led the Lady Chiefs with 15 points and 4 steals.

The Barbour County Junior High boys basketball team got their first win of the season last Monday on the road last Monday defeating the South Highland Rams of Bullock County 40-38. They also fell the next night at the G.W. Long Jr. Rebels 54-25 and are now 1-5 on the season.

The Eufaula High School Tigers football season came to an end Friday night at Tiger Stadium. The Tigers lost to Faith Academy 21-15 in the first round of the 2022 AHISAA Football Playoffs.
The Barbour County High School Jaguar basketball teams will open the 2022-23 season this week on Tuesday traveling to the Class 6A Russell County Warriors. Steve Fryer returns to lead the Varsity and will be assisted by Vejarius Williams, and Williams will also be the head Junior Varsity coach.
Yhonzae Pierre, a senior end for the Eufaula High School Tigers, is among the players named to the Alabama All-Star Team for the Alabama-Mississippi game to be played in December. The 40-man Alabama team was recently announced by the AHSAA.

Cale McKemy of Eufaula, AL, has been named to the Provost's List at Troy University for Term 1 of the 20222023 academic year. The Provost's List honors full-time undergraduate students who are registered for 12 semester hours and who have a grade point average of at least 3.65.
The Barbour County High Lady Jaguar Volleyball team season came to an end Thursday at the Class 2A,Area 4 Tournament in Skipperville, falling to the host G.W. Long Lady Rebels 9-25, 5-25 and 1-25. The Ariton Lady Purple Cats beat the Abbeville Lady Yellow Jackets in the other first round game 25-3, 25-2 and 25-2.
