HARVESTS BIG BUCK
Ben Smith proudly shows the big buck he harvested during the Thanksgiving holidays while hunting with his daddy, Scott. The family was visiting with his paternal grandmother, Bobbie Smith, in Goodwater. Ben is the 15-year-old son of Scott and Jennifer Smith of Leeds. His maternal grandfather, the late Jimmy Harrod, formerly of Clayton, was an avid hunter and would be very proud of his grandson. Ben also is the grandson of Marilyn Blair Harrod, formerly of Clayton, who now lives in Leeds.


Eufaula Varsity Girls win Karen Keller Thanksgiving Tournament
Eufaula Varsity Girls are the Karen Keller Thanksgiving Tournament Champions. The Tournament was hosted at Carroll High School Nov.21-23. Eufaula defeated G.W. Long 57-19, Geneva 47-41, and Carroll 56-29 in the championship game.
Lakeside Lady Chiefs Basketball Stats
BY RUTH WARD Lakeside Lady Chiefs lost to Southland Academy last Tuesday by the score of 49-32. Chloe Helms led the girls with 10 points and 5 steals.
Hunting License guidelines given for hunting game in Alabama
With the beginning of many different hunting seasons, it is important to remember most individuals will need a hunting license to hunt in Alabama. There are a few exceptions, mostly for residents of the state.
Barbour County High Jaguar boys and Lady Jaguars participate in tournaments
The Barbour County High Jaguar boys varsity basketball team participated in the Turkey Classic at the Dothan Civic Center, defeating the G.W. Long Rebels on Monday 54-47 but falling to the Greenville Tigers on Tuesday 85-70.

BCJH Jaguars end basketball season
The Barbour County Junior High Jaguars basketball teams closed out the season last week falling to the South Highland Rams of Bullock County on Monday and the G.W. Long Rebels on Tuesday.
Jaguars open season with victory over Lions 49-28
After not winning a game last season, the Barbour County High Jaguar boys varsity basketball team successfully opened the 2022 season with a win over the Houston County Lions on the road last Tuesday 49-28.
