Lakeside girls win state championship

The Lakeside School girls track and field team finished as AISA Class 2A state champions for the 3rd year in a row and overall AISA state runnerup this week at the state Track and Field meet in Gulf Shores. The Chiefs finished with 100 points, behind Lee-Scott Academy, which had 109 points among a field of 20 teams.

Jags lose inaugural game

The Barbour County High School Jaguars Soccer team finally got to play a game last Thursday after several were cancelled due to lack of officials. They competed well in their first inaugural game in school history but fell to the G.W. Long Rebels 8-1 on the road.

Lakeside girls win state championship

Lakeside Chiefs JV Track & Field competed in the 1A/2A JV State Meet at Escambia Academy! The Lakeside Girls are the 1A/2A JV AISA State Champs!! The Lakeside Girls finished in 1st place out of 11 teams with 108 points! The Lady Chiefs had three first-place individual performances and nine top three performances in the meet. The Lakeside boys finished in 7th place with 21 points.
