The Barbour County High Lady Jaguar Varsity Volleyball team opened the season at home last Thursday falling to the Pike County Lady Bulldogs 8-25, 25-12, 17-25 and 22-25. The Junior Varsity also lost 14-25 and 16-25.
The Eufaula Tigers opened the 2024 Football season last Friday night by welcoming the Booker T. Washington Golden Eagles from Tuskegee. Last year, the Golden Eagles had the best season in their history by advancing all the way to the fourth round (Semi-finals) of the state playoffs before losing to eventual state champion, Catholic Knights of Montgomery. Catholic is now a new opponent for Eufaula in Region 2 and the two will meet for first time week 3 in Eufaula.
The Eufaula High School Tigers will kick off their first game of the season Friday night at home against the Booker T. Washington High School Golden Eagles.
The Eufaula High School FFA Chapter received the 3 Star Award from the National FFA Chapter Award application. This is the highest ranking from the National FFA Association.
Coach Jarrod Kornegay has been named Head Softball Coach at Eufaula High School (EHS). A graduate of EHS, Coach Kornegay joins the team with years of coaching experience. Since 2007 he has coached football, soccer, tennis and softball teams.
The Barbour County High Jaguars scrimmage football game against the New Brockton Gamecocks this past Friday night was cancelled. The game was to be played at New Brockton.
