ARTIST WORKS ON MURAL - Debora Jackson, local artist, is shown on the right painting a mural next to the Octagon House in Clayton on the side wall of Trey Green’s law office. The mural features buildings and people who have had an impact on Clayton’s history to include Ann Lowe, the seamstress who made Jackie Kennedy’s wedding dress. On February 9, 153 JROTC Cadets gathered at Lakepoint Resort for their annual banquet and presentation of the 2022 Royal Court. Each year the cadets vote on the outstanding cadets from grades 9-12. Chosen Mr. and Mrs. Tiger Pride (9th Grade) are Cadet Jave Williams and Cadet Ganielle Palmer; chosen Mr. and Mrs. Black Gold (10th Grade) are Cadet Lekeveyunate Pugh and Cadet Shantavia Jackson; chosen Mr. and Mrs. Leadership (11th Grade) are Cadet Zyon Williams and Cadet Chloe Rosa; chosen as Mr. and Mrs. JROTC (12th Grade) are Cadet Antonio Cooke and Cadet Fantasia Jackson.
