Myra Baxter Boyter, 99, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2023, in Wetumpka, AL. She was born to Belle and Guy Baxter on October 25, 1923, in Clio, AL. She is survived by her children, Ron (Peggy) Boyter, Jim Boyter, Barbara Corey, and Tommy (Joyce) Boyter, her grandchildren, Jennie Sikora, Scott (Mary Jo) Boyter, Brett (Amanda) Boyter, Justin Boyter, Whitney Mann, Lindsey Mann, Matthew Corey, Drew Boyter, Riley Boyter, Will Corey, Peyton Corey and her great grandchildren, Elijah Sikora, Kaden Boyter, Carson Boyter, Taylor Boyter and Rowan Corey. She is also survived by her sisters, Peggy Baxter of Auburn, AL and Annie Rush of Huntsville, AL, her sister-in-law, Martha Baxter of Wildwood, FL and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.

BERNICE MILLER GRAY

Bernice Miller Gray was born on May 22, 1929 to the late Mack and Minnie Miller of Louisville, AL. She was the youngest of eight siblings, of which all have preceded her in death. She departed this life to be with the Lord on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Louisville. She was 94 years old.

BILL NOLIN

Bill Nolin of Clayton AL. passed away at his home on February 16, 2023, after a battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at Belcher Bethel Baptist Church on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 2:30 P.M. with Chapman Funeral Home directing and Rev. Joe Vickers officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 P.M. until the service. Bill retired from Mead Westvaco after 41 years of employment. He was a member of Belcher Bethel Baptist Church in Bakerhill, AL.

Mr. Kenneth Merrill Williams of Louisville passed away in the Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama Sunday, February 12, 2023, after a lengthy illness. He lived his entire life in Barbour County, Alabama. He was 70.

BETTY JANE (CAMPBELL) KENDRICK

Betty Jane (Campbell) Kendrick, 82, of Clio, Alabama passed away February 2, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Barbour County on September 10, 1940. She was a 1958 graduate of Barbour County High School and went on to Birmingham and received a degree in business. While in Birmingham she met James Michael Kendrick. She and Mike were married and had two children, Jon and Melissa. She was a faithful and devoted woman, wife, and mother. After 30 years, she retired from Civil Service at Fort Rucker, Alabama. She took pleasure in her family, helping on their farm and serving at her church. Many loved her. She will be greatly missed.

THOMAS MORRIS HUDSON

Thomas Morris Hudson, 93, of Middleburg, FL passed away Friday, December 30, 2022. Thomas was born in Louisville, Alabama to parents, James Theodore Hudson and Annie Wolfe Hudson. Thomas lived in the Jacksonville area for the past 7 years. He worked in Sales and Distribution for Ridgewood Plumbing. Thomas had a great sense of humor and was a big prankster. He also loved being outdoors, gardening, fishing, and hunting.

CAROLYN BROADAWAY EWING

Carolyn Broadaway Ewing, age 87, of Redland, Alabama passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023. She was born December 20, 1935 on a working farm in Barbour County near Clayton, Alabama to Robert E. and Truitt G. Broadaway. It was there where she developed her great appreciation for family, the outdoors, and hard work. She was saved by grace through faith in Jesus at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she played piano for church services until she left for college. She was valedictorian of the 1954 graduating class of Clayton High School. She was captain of the cheerleading squad. She remained an avid cheerleader for the entirety of her life by loving, encouraging, and supporting her family, friends, and those in need. She graduated from the University of Montevallo in 1958 with a degree in biology. During college, she met her future husband, Ed Ewing. They wed on June 14, 1958. She was passionate about ensuring those around her did not go hungry. She and her husband served countless Meals on Wheels and provided both breakfast and lunch to would-be laborers searching for work at the local employment agency.
