Orvin Bernard “Buck” Earnest, Jr. passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023, at the age of 87 in Montgomery, Alabama. He was born on January 21, 1936, in Muscogee County in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Orvin Bernard Earnest, Sr. and Lula Maud Kirby Earnest. He grew up on the dairy farms in Randolph County, Alabama, that his father managed during the years around the Great Depression. Mr. Earnest acquired the nickname “Buck” from his great-grandfather, Allen Buckner Earnest, who was also known as “Buck.”

Grady “Bo” Jones Jr., age 77, of Clio passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Southeast Hospital in Dothan, AL. Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m.

Donna Lois Carpenter, age 57, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at her residence. She was surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2023 at Keahey Funeral Home in Clio. Reverend Timmy Hall officiated. The family received friends at Keahey Funeral Home an hour prior to services. Burial followed in Pea River Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tim McKinny, Jeff Davis, Terry Adams, Bobby Strickland, Scott Myers and Zach Shipes. Honorary pallbearer was her son, Matthew Davis.
