The Eufaula Barbour Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Farm to Table Dinner Party on Friday, November 17 at Hawkins Ridge, located at 915 County Road 79, Eufaula (Bakerhill). The event will be held at 6:30 in the evening.
The ghosts, goblins and characters of all descriptions will have opportunities to participate in events planned at different venues this weekend. A fun event has been planned at the Rockin D Arena on County Road 67 in Clayton.

People are wanting to know when the time “falls back.” Daylight Saving Time will end on Sunday, November 5, at 2:00 in the morning. While there’s been some movement to discontinue the biannual time change, the time change is still in effect. We may have more light in the morning time but it will get darker earlier in the afternoons. All we can do is to adjust the best we can!
A 10-year-old child who was reported missing early Thursday morning was safely found the following morning. The good news was quickly reported that Curtis Jerome Francis had been found on Highway 131 as he was coming out of the woods.

A sentencing date has been set for Monday for Jamal Cordarius Turner who was convicted last month for the murder of Brandon Christopher Henry. The date for Turner to appear before Circuit Judge Burt Smithart in the Eufaula courthouse was initially set for October 19 but was reset for Monday at 11 a.m.
