BEASLEY A combination of tragic shooting events in Eufaula and Tuesday’s inclement weather in Barbour County led to decisions to close all schools in Barbour County. In addition, county courthouses and other county facilities were closed Tuesday due to weather conditions.

The Barbour County High Jaguar Varsity boys basketball team dropped all three games in the Thelma's Kitchen Lake City Classic hosted by Eufaula High School. On Monday they fell to the Russell County Warriors 94-32, Tuesday to the Eufaula High Tigers 80-42 and Wednesday to the Booker T. Washington Eagles 66-40.
This Christmas was extra special for participants at the Clayton Senior Center. That’s because last year the center was closed and there were no activities held for participants in Clayton.
