Arrests made in Eufaula shooting

No bond has been set for the two suspects Eufaula police arrested for their involvement in the shooting death of a Eufaula teenager. Gavin Lebron Martin and Jamichael Trevon Leonard, both 18 years of age, were arrested three days after they allegedly were involved in the death of 15-year-old Zyaire Kayon Hill. Both suspects were arrested on Capital Murder charges as well as Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle. Eufaula Police Chief Danny Christ said they are being held in the Eufaula City Jail without bond. He said the vehicles involved in the incident have been recovered but did not indicate which suspect allegedly fired the fatal shot that killed Hill. The teenager’s death occurred when he was a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling on U.S. Highway 431 near Chewalla Creek Bridge. Hill was taken to Medical Center Barbour in Eufaula reportedly by the driver of the car where he was pronounced deceased upon arrival. When Eufaula police arrived at the hospital, Hill was deceased from a gunshot wound to the head.

Clayton police investigate deaths of two who died from gunshots

Clayton police are investigating the shooting deaths of two individuals early Friday afternoon in order to rule out any foul play. Two victims, a male and a female, who were identified as Shikerra Sebriana Howard and Jaiquarius Qunteris Russaw were found with gunshots wounds about 1 p.m. Friday, January 5, at the female’s home located at 147 North Midway Street in Clayton. Walker was listed as a resident of 301 Strickland Road in Clayton and both victims were 23 years of age.
