Committee members, Annette Whitman, Trish Hatcher, Betty Nix, Donna Harrison and Janice Campbell, decorated for the annual Senior Adult Valentine’s Luncheon held at the Barbour Baptist Association office in Clayton Tuesday. The dutch treat luncheon is always a time for fellowship and a good meal shared by all in attendance.
Appreciation was expressed to all of the Barbour County School Board members and particularly its president, Jean Kennedy, on her recognition by the “No Kid Hungry Alabama” organization.
Governmental offices, banks and other businesses will be closed Monday in observance of Presidents’ Day. The closures will include both courthouses in Barbour County, other county offices, and banks as well as federal offices.
A Resolution was approved by the City Council of Eufaula on February 3 to declare a moratorium on the issuance of business licenses for small box discount stores. This will give the City an opportunity to research, study, develop and update its zoning ordinances.

Students in the Barbour County school system will no longer have the benefits of an After School Program on March 20.
