Participants invited by Eufaula Mayor Jack Tibbs had the opportunity to see firsthand progress being made at the former Bluff City Inn in downtown Eufaula last week. From the exterior of the three-story building that once was an icon in the city, it doesn’t appear that much work is being done.
An appointment has been made by the Eufaula City Council to the Eufaula City Board of Education for an unexpired term. After several attempts to make the appointment that has ended in a deadlock among the five council members, Rusti Register was appointed to fill the position at last week’s council meeting. The seat was vacated by Caty Richardson with the term to expire on April 1, 2026.
