Lewis Chapter members attend State Conference
The 126th State Conference of the Alabama Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution was held in Auburn at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center. The event was held February 29 to March 3 with a total of 331 persons in attendance.

Recipe: Peas and Prosciutto
Ingredients 2 tablespoons olive oil; 3 shallots, chopped; 2 garlic cloves, minced; Salt and freshly ground black pepper; 1 (1-pound) bag frozen peas, thawed; 4 ounces (1/8inch-thick slices) prosciutto, diced; 1/4 cup chopped fresh Italian parsley leaves Directions Heat the oil in a heavy large skillet over medium-low heat. Add the shallots, garlic, salt, and pepper, and saute until tender, about 1 minute.

Assistant Chief Hardy plans Safe Haven Defense presentation
Safe Haven Defense will give a presentation at Barbour County High School Gymnasium focusing on safety and security. The event will be held April 15 at 4:00 p.m. Safe Haven Defense specializes in the manufacturing of security laminates that excel in providing enhanced protection against glass breakage caused by various threats such as burglaries, hurricanes, bombs and even bullets.
Eufaula Carnegie Library to host session for Free Application for Federal Student Aid
The Eufaula Carnegie Library will host a session of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application, in partnership with Eufaula High School and Wallace Community College. The session will be held Tuesday, April 23, from 5:00-6:30 p.m.
Public invited to attended a Safety & Security Presentation April 15
Technological advances are available that can help make like safer for the public. One company, Selcom, LLC, will provide information to the public at a Safety and Security Presentation on their state-of-the- art artificial intelligence surveillance system on April 15 at 4 p.m. at the Barbour County High School gymnasium in Clayton.
New organization formed to celebrate regional artists in rural communities
The Bluff City Arts Alliance (BCAA), a new non-profit organization, is proud to announce its formation with the mission to celebrate regional artists, inspire creativity in rural communities across Southeast Alabama, and foster a vibrant cultural landscape.

Acorye’ White to feature hometown in new film
Clayton native Acorye’ White will be returning to his hometown to film part of his new horror film, The Grove. Production is expected to start in April and Anchored Lens will be filming for a couple of days in Clayton.
