HONORED ON GRADUATION

HONORED ON GRADUATION - Family and friends gathered Sunday, May 19 at Clayton Methodist Church to honor their 2024 graduate Sadie Williams, shown second from the left. Rev. Larry Teasley, pastor of the church, presented Miss Williams with a Bible during the morning worship services, a gift from the church. Immediately following the services, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall. The refreshment table was decorated in University of Alabama colors where she plans to attend this fall. Shown during the reception, left to right, are Pitt Williams, Sadie’s father, the honoree, Gracie Williams, her sister, and Jennifer Williams, the honoree’s mother.

Jada Mock & Elliott Clayton chosen to attend Girls and Boys State

Jada Mock, a junior at Eufaula High School, is the daughter of Jennifer and Duane Mock, and has been chosen to attend American Legion Auxiliary: Alabama Girls State in Troy June 2-7. She is involved in the FCA Club, is Vice President of DECA, President of Diamond Dolls, National Honor Society, EHS Varsity cheerleader for three years, Pilgrimage Junior Court, Youth Leadership Barbour, Girls State Delicate, and the upcoming Senior Class President. Outside of school, Jada enjoys being a part of the First Baptist Church of Eufaula’s youth group, where she sings on the Youth Praise Team. She enjoys hanging out with friends and family, volunteering at Connections Ministry, and constantly spreading the Lord’s love to whomever she comes in contact with. Jada is most excited to meet new friends, represent her community with elegance and grace, and see how the Lord can use this week in her life.

Children must be 5 years old by August 1. $50.00 Regular Registration (May 6 - May 31), $70.00 Late Registration (June 1 - June 14). Tryout dates are to be announced (You will be notified). MAY DAY CELEBRATION

MAY DAY CELEBRATION - An abundance of a variety of handmade crafts and food filled the Octagon House lawn for the Clayton Senior Center’s May Day celebration. Participants had a great time at their first May Day Festival and hope to have one each year ongoing.

ENJOY CLASS REUNION

ENJOY CLASS REUNION - Members of the 1966 class at Clayton High School met Thursday, May 2, at the Dime Store Restaurant in Clayton to reminisce about their times together growing up in Clayton and attending school together through the years. Those in attendance enjoyed a day of fun, food and fellowship!
