RAWR – PARKER TURNS ONE

Parker Lee Gulledge ,the son of Julie and Paul Gulledge of Dothan, celebrated his first birthday with a dinosaur theme party. The birthday party was held at the Parish family farm in Clayton with family members and friends. Parker is the grandson of Paul, Sr. and Laney Gulledge of Clayton and Stewart and Stacey Payne of Prattville, AL and the late Tanya Leigh Gossett Payne. Maternal great grandparents are Linda Walls and the late Forest Walls of Cropwell, AL, Clara Gossett and the late Fate Gossett of Vandiver, AL, and Darlene Newell and the late Larry Newell of Haleyville, AL. The paternal great grandparents are Ed and Billie Sue Parish of Clayton, Ann Lee and the late Rev. Ron Lee of Pike Road, the late Elane Tew Parish Lee and Lamar and Veila Mae Gulledge of Clayton. Pictured with Parker (in the high chair) is Savannah Waller, friend, Makayla Gulledge, sister, and Carter Taylor, cousin, all of Dothan.

Local schools receive Best Hustle Award

Barbour County High School, Eufaula City Schools, and Alabama Virtual Academy at Eufaula City Schools were among the 213 schools in the state to receive the Best Hustle Award. This award was presented to schools for successfully improving their early Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) completion by at least 10 percent from 2020 to 2021.
