The General United Daughters of the Confederacy Henry D. Clayton District held its district meeting at Lakepoint Resort Saturday, February, 19 in the Riverside Ballroom at 10:30 AM. The district consists of UDC chapters in Andalusia, Dothan, Enterprise, Ozark and Eufaula.
The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is launching a new program Move Alabama, a collaboration between SNAP-Ed and EFNEP at Auburn University. This new program is an effort to get the community to participate in a new family activity challenge from March 1 through April 30.

Thanks to a generous donation from the Clayton United Methodist Church and some supplemental funds provided by the Barbour County Commissioners, we have a safe and attractive new ramp making our Center handicap accessible and easily accessible for our daily SARCOA food deliveries.
BARBOUR COUNTY JUNIOR MISS UNITED STATES AGRICULTURE - Hadley Kate McCraney of Louisville has been chosen to represent Barbour County at the Alabama State Pageant in Dothan to be held on January 28, 2023. Hadley Kate is a 4th grader at The Lakeside School. She loves agriculture. Her family owns and operates a large poultry farm, row crops, and grows produce. She loves pageants and is excited about representing her county. Hadley Kate is the daughter of Joe and Ashley McCraney. When she participates at the state pageant, she will be eligible for a $1,000 scholarship.

CHOSEN TO ATTEND CONFERENCE Kimber Fant, teacher at Eufaula Elementary School, has been chosen to attend the National Ag in the Classroom Conference in New York this summer. She is a Barbour County 4-H Volunteer, mother of two 4-H members, and teaches fourth grade.
Local author, JoSephine Rumph, is kicking off her book tour to introduce her debut novel with family and friends in her home county on Saturday, February 19. The book signing of Broken Soul is set for 11 a.m. at Thelma’s Kitchen in Eufaula where the public can come by for the book signing to purchase an autographed copy of the book, and/or come early and enjoy lunch.
SUPER BOWL SUNDAY Pastor Randy Adams and the congregation at Calvary Assembly of God would like to invite you to join them for “Super Bowl Sunday” on Sunday, February 13th at 10:30 AM. Everyone is encouraged to wear your team jersey and come join them for a day of fun and fellowship.
The Alabama Division of the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) met at the Montgomery Marriott Prattville Hotel and Conference Center Saturday January 29 at 11 AM. The meeting was brought to order by Division Vice President Pat Ritcher in the absence of Division President Fay McWhorter.
