CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY MONTH

CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY MONTH - Barbour County High School celebrated Black History Month with a ceremony in February. American Heart Association Top Fundraisers

TOP FUNDRAISERS - Eufaula Primary students recently participated in the American Heart Association - Kids Heart Challenge. Students raised money for kids with special hearts and learned about keeping their own hearts and brains healthy. The school had a goal of raising $2,500, but surpassed that amount and was able to raise $2,920,73! Top fundraisers for the school, shown left to right, are Blake Thornton, Aniylah Lohman, Owen Darby, second graders; Hayden Dove, Empriss Jackson, Reed Haynes, Mac Richardson, Daniel Jones, first graders; and Corey Jones, Kindergarten.

BRIDAL SHOWER

BRIDAL SHOWER - Angela L. Gulledge was feted with a bridal shower on March 5 at the historical Octagon House in Clayton. Finger foods were served to guests with lemonade and tea.The formal dining room table was adorned with a dozen red roses and baby’s breath. The shower was hosted by her bridesmaids. The bridesmaids in attendance were her cousin and Maid-of-Honor Jacqueline Gulledge of Alpharetta, GA, shown on the right with Angela and Tiffany Dykes Kilpatrick of Eufaula. Jacqueline is the daughter of Jeff and Jay Gulledge of Warner Robins, GA . and Tiffany is the daughter of Edwina Dykes and Larry Dykes of Louisville. Guests showered her with wedding gifts. Angela is the daughter of Paul and Laney Gulledge of Clayton.

ATTEND RETREAT

ATTEND RETREAT - Two Barbour County 4-H members, Mary Brock, daughter of Rebecca and James Brock of Eufaula, and Rachel Webb, daughter of Susan and Ray Webb of Eufaula, attended the Alabama 4-H Midwinter Teen Retreat at the 4-H center in Columbiana. The weekend’s theme, “The Show Must Go On,” consisted of everything from leadership workshops to carnival night and grand balls.
