The Clio Seniors and the Clayton Seniors enjoyed some great fellowship at the Clio Senior Center on Tuesday, July 18th. We played multiple games of Bingo and learned some new versions of Bingo from the Clio Seniors also. Many of the Clayton Seniors had never been to the Clio Senior Center so it was a great time to have some fun and fellowship with our sister Barbour County Senior Citizens. Every one enjoyed winning some great prizes and we look forward to reciprocating by having the Clio Seniors here in Clayton in the near future.
Sixth grade students in Barbour County recently had the unique opportunity to see the treasures that the lake brings to the area when they were invited to visit Old Creek Town Park in Eufaula. People who work and play on the water shared with more than 180 students what massive resources the lake offers.

PERFORM AT FAMILY NIGHT- A group of children that attended Clayton Baptist Church’s Vacation Bible School last week are shown performing at Family Night. The theme for this year’s VBS was “Sparks Studios: Created in Christ, Designed for God’s Purpose.” Children ages three through 12 learned to use their talents to bring glory to God. They learned their creativity is a gift from their Creator and how to use their talents for the glory of God. Chamber Jr. Ambassadors Kurei, Alyssa, Bernie, and volunteer Brennan, set up their tent, July 15th in the courtyard of Lakewood Apartments, in Eufaula and gave out free water to the residents. Ambassadors conducted a Bottled Water Drive for two weeks to collect bottled water for the residents. The group encourages everyone to stay cool and hydrated during these hot summer months. They especially want our elderly community members to stay hydrated and drink plenty of water. Lakewood Property manager and residents were thankful to the group for being such a positive part of their community and assisting the apartment residents.
