Barbour County Queens
Ella Grace Bradley Ella Grace will be contestant number 27 in the upcoming Miss division of the National Peanut Festival pageant on October 14 and 15 in Dothan. She is the daughter of Robby and Heather Bradley of Eufaula.

Eufaula Queens
Mary Helen attends Eufaula High School where she is a cheerleader, a member of the Track Team, DECA member and state winner, and a member of the national Honor Society. She is a Youth Leadership Barbour participant and a member of First Baptist Church in Eufaula where she is involved in the youth program.

Estate Planning Program to be held at Carnegie Library Oct. 8
On Saturday, October 8, Tuskegee University Cooperative Extension will be hosting an Estate Planning Program on heir property. The event will start at 10:00 a. m. at the Eufaula Carnegie Library in Eufaula, Alabama.


Goodwill Retail & Donation store now open in Eufaula
Community leaders, area beauty queens, Goodwill staff and loyal customers were on hand for the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of the new Goodwill Retail Store and Donation Center in Eufaula . The ceremony was held Wednesday, September 13, at 10:30 a.m. The new store is located at 1234 North Eufaula Avenue in the former Sears Catalog building. It features an 8,200 square foot facility that incudes 5,200 square feet of retail space as well as a driveup drop-ff donor door where individuals can conveniently drive up and donate their gently used items without having to leave their car. With the addition of the new Eufaula location, GoodwillSR will have a total of 17 retail stores and eight career across its 50-county territory that covers parts of east Alabama and west Georgia.
Activities planned for Barbour County High School Homecoming
Alumni of the former Clayton High School, now Barbour County High School in Clayton, are planning special activities for homecoming festivitys on Friday. Sharlene Washington said the CHS alumni will kick-off their first CHS Homecoming Tailgate Extravaganza to support the Barbour County High School Jaguars.

Chloe Helms places second in a 5k
The Lakeside Cross Country team ran an early morning race in Albany, GA at Albany State College hosted by Deerfield Windsor Academy. Chloe Helms (20:05) finished 2nd in the girls 5K (3.1 mile) in a field of 144 runners.

EHS students score high on advanced tests
Eufaula High School had thirty students make qualifying scores on one or more Advanced Placement tests in May 2022. Advanced Placement (AP) is a program in the United States and Canada created by the College Board which offers college- level curricula and examinations to high school students. American colleges and universities may grant placement and course credit to students who obtain high scores on the examinations.
