The Clio Senior Center recently held a birthday celebration for three of their members. Mr. Homer Kapua celebrated his 100th birthday, his wife, Emily, celebrated her 98th birthday, and Ms. Montez Campbell celebrated her 98th birthday.

Jones Chapel AME Church will host the Clark Brothers of Tuskegee, The Spiritual Six of Jacksonville, FL, The Spiritual Travelers of LaGrange, Georgia, and the Clark Brothers and the Heavenly Voices of Tuskegee, Al. The concert will be held Saturday, October 22nd from 1PM - 4PM. COVID and flu Vaccines, Personal Protective Equipment, and COVID educational material will be offered by the Clinic Team of Project RAVE2, a public health grant funded through Tuskegee University.
Leadership Barbour held its Agriculture Day on Thursday, October 6. The class traveled to the Edwards Poultry Farm where Greg Edwards gave them a tour and explanation of the poultry farm. They then went to the Speake/Corcoran Properties where they toured the Lock Cotton Gin and saw cotton being harvested in the field under the supervision of Charlie Speake.
October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. It is a time to reflect on those babies and parents that didn’t get the opportunity to share a lifetime together.
Artists, designers, craftsmen and makers of great things met in the Seth Lore Historic District of Eufaula this past weekend for a Celebration of the Arts and Things of the South for Eufaula Fest 2022. This annual event, which has been held for 40 years, is sponsored by the Eufaula/Barbour County Chamber of Commerce. The top picture shows the entrance into the historic district and a large crowd is shown in the bottom picture enjoying shopping, visiting, and enjoying the beautiful weather along Randolph Avenue during the weekend.
Over 30 Seniors and friends of The Clayton Senior Center in Clayton enjoyed a terrific meal catered by Eva’s Kitchen on September 28th. Everyone wore their new Safari 2022 T-shirts while enjoying playing games and just chatting about all the great times they have had here over the years.
