60TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
H C and Faye Gulledge celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on December 9, 2022 at McLin's Restaurant in Daleville with their children and grandchildren. The couple first met when Faye's family moved to Blue Springs and she started to Blue Springs High School in 7th grade where H C attended. They both graduated from high school in May 1962 and were married in December 1962. They have two sons, Kevin Gulledge (Mitzi) of Dothan and Kerwin Gulledge (Terri) of Blue Springs; three grandchildren, Lynsey Griffin (John), Callie Davis (Garrett), and Blake Gulledge (Brittany); four great grandchildren, Ava, John Connor, Lillian Griffin and Randi Kate Davis. H C and Faye stated, 'We have had a good, happy life and are truly blessed.'

Amelia Bowden of Louisville has been selected by Troy University as a member of 'The 87.' Bowden is majoring in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies. “The 87” which is formerly Who's Who, recognizes juniors, seniors and graduate students who have excelled in campus leadership and in their academic area.

Leadership Barbour holds Public Safety Day, Nov. 10
Leadership Barbour held a Public Safety Day on Thursday, November 10, at the Eufaula Community Center. The class was greeted by Keef Pettis, director of the Eufaula Recreation Department and given a tour of the facility by Rick Thorne, Aquatics Director and class member. Steve Watkins, Eufaula Police Chief, spoke with the group and held SWAT and K9 Officer demonstrations.
Recipe: Pumpkin Chiffon Pie
3 large eggs, separated 1 cup sugar, divided 1 1/4 cups cooked pumpkin 1/2 cup milk 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1 envelope (1 tablespoon) unflavored gelatin 1/4 cup cold water 2 (9-inch) pie shells, bake according to directions.
