Eufaula Carnegie Library has been selected to continue participation in Community Connect, an initiative of the American Library Association (ALA) and Capital One that helps rural libraries offer internet access and financial education for their patrons.
The Barbour County High School Homecoming 2023, held Friday night, September 29, may have been lost on the football field, but was a winner in so many other ways! For the first time alumni of Barbour County Training School, Rebecca Comer School, Bakerhill School, Clayton High School, Louisville High School and Barbour County High School came together to show their support and school spirit. The fun began with the homecoming parade through downtown Clayton.
Students in grades 6-12 will have an opportunity to enter essay competition in the Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen competition. Deadline competition is Thursday, October 31. Essays must be received by midnight on that date.
BEEF CATTLE GENETICS MEETING The meeting will be held Thursday, October 12 at Parmer Farms located at 556 County Road 17, Louisville. The meeting will be held from 5:30 until 8:00 p.m.

Dr. Alex Colvin with the Alabama Archives and History will give a “History of the Creek Indians in Alabama” on Saturday, September 30 at 10:00 a.m. The presentation will be held at the Eufaula Carnegie Library Auditorium.
In light of a string of vehicles being vandalized with items stolen, efforts are being made to establish Neighborhood Watches throughout Clayton in an effort to curtail crimes from occurring. Assistant Police Chief Dr.
Storyteller Sean Dietrich will be at Dream Field Farms on Thursday, September 21 in celebration of the Red Door Theatre’s 20th year. Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. and Dietrich will speak at 7:00 p.m.
