EARTH DAY

Kindergarten students in Mrs. Casey’s and Mrs. Smith’s classes at Barbour County Primary School recently celebrated Earth Day. The classes studied ways to protect the earth to include saving water (taking shorter showers, turning off the water after brushing your teeth), planting trees, turning the lights off when you leave the room/house, 3 R’s (reduce, reuse, recycle), walking/riding a bike when traveling short distances, turning off TV when not in use, and picking up trash outside. Students also colored an Earth Day picture as well as made Earth Day crowns.
