BY CONNIE BEDSOLE 75 YEARS AGO AUGUST 22, 1947 The Clayton Busters handed Louisville a 5 to 4 defeat on the local diamond last Friday night, August 15, after pitchers Hasten of Clayton and Finlayson of Louisville, staged a pitching duel that lasted ten innings. Hasten chalked up his second victory for Clayton in as many starts striking out seven men and giving up only seven scattered hits, while his opponent, Finlayson struck out eight men and gave up nine hits.
