PREPARE FOR STATE FORESTRY CONTEST - The 4-H Forestry Team had the opportunity to go out into the field to learn first hand a lot about trees at Lakepoint Resort. Forester Ed Lewis is shown sharing his expertise on compass pacing, measuring with a Biltmore Stick, and winter tree identifications. Shown are Mary Brock, Hunter McGilvary, Taylor Stevens, Evan Fant and Adult Volunteer Audra McGilvary. The team is preparing for the Alabama Forestry Contest in May.
Young ladies who are juniors and seniors have an opportunity to dress in beautiful antebellum dresses and greet visitors attending the annual Eufaula Pilgrimage, Alabama’s Tour of Homes April 3-6.
WINS FIRST PLACE - Senior 4-H member JJ Rogers recently won first place in the 4-H “What Wood U Build” Contest. He is proudly displaying his winning entry of Cornhole boards he made for the contest. Judges were community volunteers Timothy Bolton and Bill Klein.
