GIFTS OF LOVE

GIFTS OF LOVE - Members of the GIFTT (God’s Inspiration for Today and Tomorrow) Ministry at Louisville Baptist Church are shown with the Easter gift baskets they made for seven ladies throughout Barbour County. The baskets were presented to ladies in the communities who are coping with illness, loss of a spouse, or simple needed a boost in spirits. They contain devotionals, candy, novelty dishes, hand towels, crosses, Bible markers, words of encouragement, puzzles, pens, and much more. Pictured with the Easter baskets are Judy Clark, Keisha Whitman, founder and president, Merilyn McCraney, treasurer, and team members Kelley Richards, Beverly Raddatz and Angie Bowdoin. Students advance in creative writing class

Creative writing students from Admiral Moorer Middle School in Eufaula are set to be published authors! Students were introduced to poetry during the first week of class with a published poem written by their teacher when she was in the eighth grade. A goal was set for them to become published authors, also. Eleven of the students have already accomplished this goal as they have been chosen to have their work published in the Spring 2025 hardbound anthology A Celebration of Poets.
