Easter Week - From Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday is a special time in the Biblical calendar. We follow Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, the Last Supper, the Crucifixion and then on Easter Sunday, the resurrection of the risen Christ. Church services are scheduled this week that are open to the public. They will be a wonderful way to observe Holy Week.

Board relaxes face masks mandate

Students in the Barbour County School System will have their face masks requirements relaxed after action was taken by members of the School Board Monday night. They began the school term in August under the requirement to wear face masks when inside buildings with them being able to remove them when involved in outside activities.

75 YEARS AGO APRIL 11,1947 Clarence Milldrum of the Clayton FFA Chapter, won first place in the public speaking contest at the FFA Quarter-Finals Public Speaking and Quartet Contest that was held in Tuskegee on March 25 at 12:30 p.m. The Tuskegee FFA Chapter was in charge of the program.

Three Eufaula men arrested in PCB

Three Eufaula men were arrested for their involvement in incidents that occurred over the weekend at Panama City Beach. Some social media groups called the event the “PCB Takeover.” The three from Eufaula who were among 161 bookings made at the Bay County Jail are Sylvester Juanya Cunningham, Jadarrius Daquon Richardson and Assonte Cortez McClinton.
