Commissioner Pat Ivey encouraged her fellow commissioners and the public to attend a Public Hearing scheduled next Tuesday in Clio. The hearing will be held to discuss a grant application to build a new Senior Center at a location to be determined.
The Alabama-West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church held its 2022 Annual Conference session Sunday, June 12-Wednesday, June 15 in person at the Dunn-Oliver Acadome on the campus of Alabama State University in Montgomery. The Service of Commissioning and Ordination was held at First United Methodist Church, Montgomery.

Grayson Mann, a rising 7th grader at Admiral Moorer Middle School in Eufaula, attended Space Camp in Huntsville from May 30-June 3. He was awarded the SALSA scholarship for the legislative district. Grayson is the son of William and Christy Mann of Eufaula.
The former golf course at Lakepoint State Park now has a new purpose. A new off-road vehicle (ORV) course was officially opened Thursday.
UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA A total of 11,224 students enrolled during Spring Semester 2022 at The University of Alabama were named to the dean's list with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the president's list with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA dean's and president's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students.
