A Eufaula man convicted for a 2018 murder was sentenced to life in prison by Circuit Judge Burt Smithart. At a sentencing hearing held Thursday, October 20, Jesse James Maness was given a life sentence for his involvement with horrendous murder of Deyasmine “Keyon” Sheppard that occurred on March 24, 2018.
A new superintendent has taken on awesome responsibilities to lead the Barbour County School District. Dr. Keith Stewart comes to the county school system with a lot of experience and accomplishments that he can provide as he tackles the challenges in the days ahead for him.
Barbour County commissioners are encouraging voters to vote yes on two constitutional amendments that will be included on the November 8 General Election ballot.
